Sean earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2015 from Rutgers University, where he focused on clinical social work and was a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society at the graduate level. He is a licensed social worker in New Jersey and also holds school social worker certification. He is presently working toward his goal of becoming a licensed clinical social worker.

Sean initially worked in a substance use disorder facility and then spent three years working in a center focusing on mental health disorders. This gave him insight into co-occurring disorders. He has experience working in all levels of care and has treated adolescents as well as adults. Sean believes in the basic premise that anyone is capable of change, given the necessary tools and support.  He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to change unhealthy patterns of behavior and promote successful recovery. He is particularly interested in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as it relates to the development of addiction.
