  • Will my insurance cover my treatment?

    We accept most private insurances. There are a few that we do not accept. We can verify your benefits to determine what your coverage is and also determine if you have any exclusions.

  • What does a typical day look like?

    Each day in treatment follows a structured schedule. Mornings include breakfast, a morning meeting and small group therapy with your primary therapist. After lunch, there is an opportunity for some recreation time using the basketball, tennis or volleyball courts or to simply take a peaceful walk outside. The rest of the afternoon consists of educational group sessions. The evening starts with a wrap-up group after dinner followed by a 12-Step meeting and ends with free time.

  • What kind of food is served?

    Chef-catered meals are provided three times a day, seven days a week. Snacks including cereals, fruit, chips and granola bars are available around the clock.

  • What does individualized treatment mean?

    You’ll interact with your treatment team daily and will be assigned a primary therapist with whom you will meet regularly for individual sessions. Treatment plans are individualized based on the needs of our patients. Generally, patients see their therapists weekly for individual therapy and on a daily basis for group therapy.

  • Can I have my cell phone?

    No but the rooms at Pinelands are furnished with flat-screen TVs, comfortable bedding, and all the luxuries of home to keep you entertained.

  • Will I have a roommate?

    Yes, you will be with a roommate at Pinelands.

  • What should I pack?

    You should pack comfortable clothing for approximately 2-3 weeks. Laundry services are available on site free of charge. You may want to bring books, writing materials and any other non-electronic forms of entertainment.

  • Is smoking allowed?

    Yes, smoking is allowed in designated areas at designated times.

  • Will I be able to see my family?

    During your stay your family will have multiple opportunities to engage in educational and therapeutic sessions with a Family Therapist. Visiting is available as part of your Family Therapy Session with you Primary Therapist on a case by case basis.

  • Who will be responsible for my care?

    While in treatment, you will work with a multi-disciplinary treatment team consisting of a medical doctor, psychiatric nurse practitioners, registered nurses, mental health and addiction counselors, recovery coaches and case managers. Your family will be assigned their own family counselor to be their point of contact and ongoing support.

  • Is transportation provided to the facility?

    Yes, in most cases Pinelands staff are able to arrange transportation to the facility for those within driving distance.
