Derrick started his career at Pinelands Recovery Center as a behavioral health technician in October 2023. In this role, he gained experience in different therapeutic approaches to meeting patients’ needs while ensuring that their stay at Pinelands was safe, positive and fulfilling. After being a part of the Operations team for a year, he was then promoted to the Clinical team as case manager in May 2025. Derrick is currently continuing his education and working on a bachelor’s degree in social work. Being in recovery himself, Derrick has a compassionate and understanding approach when it comes to patient care.
